For OBCs

Invoices

Upload invoices and receipts, send invoices to clients by email, and manage attachments.

Two flows

The Invoices section serves two purposes:

  • OBC → Firm: a courier uploads invoices and receipts to share with the firms they work for.
  • Firm → Client: a firm sends an invoice to a client by email, attaching one or more files.

The page layout depends on your account. OBCs see "My uploads." Firms see a tab switcher between From OBCs (everything their couriers uploaded) and To clients (the client-email send flow).

Uploading an invoice or receipt

  1. Click Upload on the Invoices page.
  2. Choose files from the file picker.
  3. Pick the Kind: Invoice or Receipt.
  4. Optionally add a counterparty and notes.
  5. Click Upload.

Files go directly from your browser to secure storage (so Vercel isn't a bottleneck). The 20 MB-per-file cap covers anything short of multi-page PDFs scanned at high resolution.

HEIC files from iPhone

Photos taken on iPhone in HEIC format are converted to JPEG client-side before upload, so they're viewable on any device. If conversion fails (older iPhones or unusual settings), the original HEIC is uploaded with an inline tip pointing to iPhone's "Most Compatible" camera setting.

Sending an invoice to a client (firms only)

On the Invoices → To Clients tab:

  1. Upload the invoice as usual.
  2. Click Send by email.
  3. Enter the client's email address.
  4. Optionally type a custom subject line.
  5. Click Send.

The client receives an email from "<Your firm> via OBC Calendar" with one or more Download buttons. Links expire after 7 days and the email shows the expiry date. Replies go to your address (the firm user who clicked Send), not the OBC Calendar generic inbox.

Deleting an attachment

Only the uploader can delete their own attachments. Click the trash icon next to the file. Deletion removes both the storage object and the database record.

Renewing expired links (in-app)

If a download link in the app expires (after 1 hour for in-app links), click Refresh link to generate a new one. This doesn't re-send an email; it just rebuilds the URL for your browser.
